Dr. Sakti Guha-Niyogi-Chairperson

I was Born in India and have lived in South Wales since 1972. I worked in NHS for 47 years in both the hospital sector and in Primary care as a General Practitioner. I Served as GP educator for Cardiff university 2005-2019.
I’m Married with three children who are medics and 6 delightful grandchildren . We are multi Faith family enjoying religious and cultural diversity. I am a member of several charitable organisations including the Rotary club and trustee of two charitable organisations. ​
I am currently Serving as the Chair of the Hindu Council of Wales. I enjoy travelling the world by Sea and air. I love meeting people and enjoy music, cricket, football & Golf.

SUDHA BHATT - Vice Chair

Sudha Bhatt:  Sudha is the current Vice Chair of the Hindu Council of Wales, having previously served with great commitment as its Treasurer. She also represents the Sanatan Dharma Mandal, where she has been a dedicated Assistant Secretary for two decades.
A Cardiff resident for over 30 years, Sudha embraces and celebrates the city’s rich diversity. She is passionate about promoting cultural heritage, strengthening community cohesion, and building meaningful connections across cultures. Warm, approachable, and engaging, she brings people together with ease.
She brings a keen eye for detail and a passion for planning, organizing, and presenting events with exceptional quality.
Sudha is a proud mother of two and a devoted grandmother of four, who keep her happily energised. Now retired from a demanding career in Human Resources within a Civil Service department, she carries with her a wealth of experience in leadership, teamwork, accountability, and responsible decision-making.

RADHIKA KADABA - General Secretary

​Radhika is a highly accomplished and dedicated community    leader with a strong background in Hindu faith, Indian culture and traditions. She is a science graduate and holds a Masters in South Indian classical music. She along with her husband have brought up their three daughters in multicultural Wales to be highly talented in music and dance and rooted in their values and rich heritage.
Radhika has proven ability to lead, organize, and inspire with extensive experience in cultural preservation, interfaith dialogue, and charitable initiatives. A qualified secretary with exceptional organizational and note-keeping skills, she is committed to promoting cultural understanding and empowering women and minority communities. Radhika practices Sanatana Dharma, a way of life which teaches tolerance, ahimsa and compassion.
Radhika has had opportunities to serve the community in Wales through various positions she has held in the past 24 years. Following is some of them.

General Secretary-Hindu Council of Wales (2017-present)
Secretary- Interfaith Council for Wales (2023-present)
Founder- Sampradaya; A Hindu spiritual centre in Wales
Founding member and Director- Kannada Enthusiasts Wales
Founding member and Ex-Chair-Bhaktidham Wales
Honorary Hindu Faith advisor to the Chaplaincy-University of South Wales


SIVA SIVAPALAN - Treasurer

I am a Chartered Civil Engineer with wide ranging experience in   designing and implementing multi-discipline construction projects. I have worked in the public sector for most of my working life and have been involved with various charities throughout my career. 
The charities I worked in the past included the Chartered Management Institute ( a charity concerned with Leadership and learning), South Wales Construction Safety Group (a charity promoting Safety in construction) and Tai Pawb ( a Housing Charity concerned with Equality in Housing). 
Currently I am involved with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board as member of the Stakeholder Reference Group and with South Wales Police as a member of the Independent Advisory Group, a local primary school as Local Education Authority appointed governor and Cymru Older Peoples’ Alliance ( a charity concerned with older people’s rights etc) as a trustee and Treasurer. 
I have held various positions whilst working with these charities and have learned the importance and value of good leadership, communication, teamwork and commitment in achieving its aims and objectives and upholding the Nolan Principles of Public Life. 
I am a  founder member of Hindu Council of Wales since its establishment in 2012 and currently I am serving as its Honorary Treasurer. 
I live in Cardiff (and have been since 1973) and am married with two children and two grandchildren all of whom lives outside Wales. I am very much interest in politics, current affairs, and other issues affecting our lives and the environment.
