I was Born in India and have lived in South Wales since 1972. I worked in NHS for 47 years in both the hospital sector and in Primary care as a General Practitioner. I Served as GP educator for Cardiff university 2005-2019.

I’m Married with three children who are medics and 6 delightful grandchildren . We are multi Faith family enjoying religious and cultural diversity. I am a member of several charitable organisations including the Rotary club and trustee of two charitable organisations. ​
I am currently Serving as the Chair of the Hindu Council of Wales. I enjoy travelling the world by Sea and air. I love meeting people and enjoy music, cricket, football & Golf.

Karsan is the Deputy Director of Estates (Campus Development) at the Cardiff University; Trustee at the Shree Swaminarayan Temple Cardiff and a member of the Hindu Council of Wales. Vice Chair of Constructing Excellence Cardiff Club, Past Chairman of the Youth Club at the Shree Swaminarayan Temple Cardiff.

Mrs  Sudha Bhatt - Treasurer

Sudha is the current Treasurer of Hindu Council of Wales. She represents Sanatan Dharma Mandal where she is a dedicated Assistant Secretary. She has lived in Cardiff for 30 years and enjoys the diverse culture here. She passionately participates and promotes cultural heritage. She is approachable, friendly, and engaging. She is a proud mother of two and a busy grandmother of 4 who keep her well energised.
​She has now retired from her job in Human Resources in a Civil Service Department where she developed important skills like leadership, team working, accountability and taking responsibility.
These skills have helped her towards personal attributes and hobbies which have helped in integrating within different communities and organisations. Sudha is a very committed member of Hindu Council of Wales and promotes one voice for all Hindus.
